Tropical tid bits dice:
In the IBTrACS database, nothing tropical or subtropical has gotten east of 120W in the South Pacific Ocean in the historical record. The cyclone currently west of Chile might have a case for becoming the first.

However, there is no RSMC (Regional Specialized Meteorological Center) for this part of the Pacific, so there might technically be no official record of tropical/subtropical cyclones in this region.
Alguna vez estuvo Katia en 2015, pero creo mas al Oeste.
